TeacherToolsApp helps teachers manage passes, tardies, rosters, and related reports. We collect and use information only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.

Information We Collect

We may collect account information such as teacher name, email address, password credentials, account role, roster settings, billing status, and support communications. Teachers may enter student roster details such as student ID, optional first name, optional last name, optional period, pass records, tardy records, and related notes.

Student Information

Student information should be limited to what is needed for classroom operations. TeacherToolsApp does not require student email addresses, student logins, home addresses, phone numbers, or other unnecessary student information. Teachers are responsible for deciding what student information is appropriate to enter under their policies and applicable laws.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate the app, authenticate users, maintain account access, track passes and tardies, generate reports, process billing, send account and password reset emails, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues.

How We Share Information

We do not sell student information. We do not use student information for targeted advertising. We may share information with service providers that help us operate the service, such as hosting, database, file storage, email, payment processing, logging, monitoring, and security providers. These providers are used only to support TeacherToolsApp operations.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. TeacherToolsApp does not store full credit card numbers. Stripe may collect payment and billing information according to its own terms and privacy policy.

Data Access And Deletion

Account owners can manage roster data in the app. To request account deletion, data export, or other privacy help, contact support at [email protected]. We may need to verify account ownership before making changes to account data.

Security And Retention

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information. We keep information while it is needed to provide the service, meet legal or billing obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, or support active accounts. Teachers should remove student information when it is no longer needed for classroom operations.

Student Privacy Obligations

Teachers may have obligations under FERPA, COPPA, state student privacy laws, district policies, or other requirements. Teachers are responsible for ensuring their use of TeacherToolsApp is approved and appropriate for their setting.
